- Teams are allocated according to the CEV European Ranking (19/08/2022)
- Single round robin tournament format
- Teams allocated to pools using the serpentine system, with organisers as head of their pool
- The five pool winners and five runners-up will all progress to the Final Round. Moreover, the third-placed team with the best result across all pools will qualify to the Final Round as well.
